Allowing light and air from the windows to penetrate through the apartment, and equipping the homes with highly efficient appliances further reduces the energy use.

Once you have significantly reduced the building’s energy use, it becomes possible to provide all its needs from renewable on-site energy sources, employing off-the-shelf technologies.

In our case, we selected a combination of ground source heat pumps for heating and cooling, solar electric and solar thermal panels, and a special ventilation system that efficiently maintains a comfortable interior climate all year round.
