EcoCité on the Canal sits at the gateway to the historic Glebe neighbourhood, only steps away from the Rideau Canal. This remarkable urban jewel, a linear park of water and greenery, weaves throughout Ottawa, finally culminating at the foot of Parliament Hill. The Canal, which was once used to move goods from Lake Ontario to the Ottawa River, now moves cyclists, runners, in-line skaters, walkers, and boaters, and of course all winter, thousands take to the world’s longest skating rink. |

The Glebe is a lively, central neighbourhood located just south of Ottawa's downtown core. The Glebe's Queen Anne, Craftsman or Colonial Revival style homes where mostly built between 1890 and 1940. These heritage homes continue to reign over attractive, tree-lined streets. And thanks to its excellent location, great recreational pathways, and speedy public transportation, the residents of this neighbourhood are ranked by statistics Canada as the most likely in Canada to opt for public transportation, walking or cycling when travelling in the city. |

Bank Street is the commercial heart of the community, with many unique cafes, bakeries, services and boutiques. The neighbourhood is fortunate to have excellent community institutions including elementary and high schools, a newly renovated community centre, and an excellent library renowned for its children’s collection. |

EcoCité on the Canal is located on the corner of Bank Street and Wilton Crescent nestled between the Rideau Canal to the south and Browns Inlet to the West. Only steps to the Canal, it’s a mere 2km to Parliament and 1 kilometre to Carleton University.
